Michaela Kršková is the first Chief Innovation Officer of the Slovak government and also the secretary of the Government Council for Science, Technology and Innovation. As Director General of the research and innovation authority at the Office of the Government, she is responsible for inter-ministerial coordination of innovation policy and implementation of the reform and investment components 9 and 10 of the Recovery Plan, which aims to revitalize the Slovak innovation ecosystem and make financing of Slovak science and research more transparent. In the past, Michaela co-founded the largest Slovak venture capital fund, Neulogy Ventures, in which she has worked with many large innovative companies. She was a co-founder of the Startup Awards (now FTRNW), which played an important role in the development of the Slovak innovation ecosystem and whose participants now have a cumulative valuation of over one billion euros. She also worked as an innovation consultant for Civitta and as an employee of Oxford University’s technology transfer office. Michaela graduated from Princeton University and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.
